Necy was a small, scruffy dog with a unique appearance. His most noticeable feature was his buck teeth, which protruded from his mouth in a comical way. This quirk made him stand out from the crowd, but it also made him a target for ridicule. People often commented on his appearance, calling him “ugly” or “weird.”
Today was Necy’s birthday, a day that most dogs looked forward to with excitement. But for Necy, it was a day filled with dread. He knew that he would be ignored or even teased by the other dogs at the shelter.

Necy’s tail wagged slightly, but he couldn’t help feeling a pang of sadness. He knew that Sarah was just being kind. No one would ever truly accept him.
As Sarah was about to leave, she stopped and looked at Necy. “You know, Necy,” she said, “beauty is more than just looks. It’s about who you are on the inside. And you, my friend, are one of the most beautiful dogs I’ve ever met.”
