East Coast Bulldog Rescue, a volunteer-run organization in Pittsburgh, learned about Roxy and decided to take her into their care. The rescuers were immediately charmed by Roxy’s sweet and friendly nature. They were shocked that anyone could abandon such a lovable puppy. During the transport to the rescue, Roxy appeared confused but quickly relaxed in the presence of her caring rescuers. Once at the rescue, the staff fell in love with Roxy and shared her story on social media, hoping to find her a forever home.
A Loving Forever Home and a Happy Ending
Roxy’s story quickly reached the heart of a woman grieving the recent loss of her beloved Pittie, Junie Bug. Seeing Roxy’s picture, she felt an instant connection and decided to adopt her. She believed Roxy would be the perfect addition to her family and a wonderful companion for her other dog, Murphy. Roxy’s adoption marked the beginning of her happily ever after. She is now safe, cherished, and surrounded by love in her new home, a stark contrast to her abandonment in a cardboard box.
