John had been with Sarah since she was a tiny girl, a loyal companion who had shared in her laughter, her tears, and every milestone along the way. He had been there for her first steps, her first day of school, and now, on her wedding day, he was determined to be by her side until the very end.
As Sarah stepped into the elegant wedding car, her heart filled with a mix of excitement and sadness. She knew this was a new chapter in her life, but she couldn’t help but feel a pang of loss for the familiar comfort of her childhood home. As the car began to move, John, his tail wagging furiously, took off after it.
Sarah’s mother, her eyes filled with tears, called out to John, but he didn’t stop. He chased after the car, his paws pounding against the pavement, his barks echoing through the streets. The driver, seeing the distressed dog, pulled over to the side of the road.
Sarah, her heart pounding in her chest, got out of the car and rushed towards John. She knelt down, her tears mingling with his. She stroked his head, her voice filled with love and sorrow. “It’s okay, boy,” she whispered. “I’ll be back.”
John looked up at her, his eyes filled with a deep sadness. He knew this was goodbye, at least for now. With a final lick of her hand, he turned and walked away, his tail drooping.
As the car pulled away, Sarah watched John until he was out of sight. She knew that he would be waiting for her at home, his loyal heart filled with love and devotion. And she promised herself that she would never forget the day her beloved companion had chased after her wedding car, one last time.
