Mas had been a loyal companion to his family for years. He was always by their side, whether they were playing in the park, going for walks, or simply sitting at home. But one day, everything changed.
Without warning, Mas’s family packed up their belongings and left. They didn’t take him with them. Mas was heartbroken. He waited by the door for hours, his tail tucked between his legs, his eyes filled with sadness. He hoped that his family would return, that it was all a terrible mistake.
Days turned into weeks, then months. Mas continued to wait. He slept outside, curled up on the porch, his body shivering in the cold. He ate scraps of food that kindhearted neighbors would leave for him. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t forget his family.
One day, a woman named Maria noticed Mas. She was moved by his forlorn expression and decided to take him in. She brought him to the vet, who gave him a clean bill of health. Maria named him Mas, which meant “faithful” in her native language.
Mas was grateful for Maria’s kindness. He quickly became attached to her, following her everywhere and showering her with affection. But even though he had a new home and a loving family, he never forgot his original family. He still hoped that one day, they would come back for him.
Years passed. Mas grew old and frail. His once shiny coat was now gray and matted. But he never lost his hope. Every day, he would sit by the window, watching the street, waiting for a familiar face to appear.
One afternoon, as Maria was sitting on the porch with Mas, she heard a car horn honking. She looked up and saw a familiar car pulling into the driveway. It was Mas’s old family. They had tracked him down and had come to take him home.
Mas’s heart pounded with excitement. He wagged his tail furiously as he ran towards his old family. They were overjoyed to see him. They hugged him tightly, their tears of joy mixing with Mas’s happy barks.
Mas had finally been reunited with his family. He had waited for so long, through hardship and loneliness, but his loyalty had been rewarded. As he curled up in his old family’s arms, he knew that he had made the right choice.
